Tahj Jarine Appeal
This wide body CL belongs to Tahj Travieso from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Many of you South Florida local enthusiasts are probably seeing this ride
for the first time, not because it’s a new build but because Tahj almost
never shows this ride at the more prominent shows. This is definitely a
case of the builder building a his ride for his own pleasure.
It was one of the rides reaf autings to a show that we caught up withTahj.
We were surprised to hear that the ride was not a new build, but has been
around for a few years now.
BR: A few years, then how the hell have we never seen it before?
Tahj: Well, I don’t take it out much.
BR: Never been to HIN with your ride?
Tahj: No
BR: NOPI?
Tahj: No
BR: DUB?
Tahj: No
BR: Being from West Palm Beach you must have taken it to Moroso?
Tahj: Once I did not like the fact that we had to park on the grass so I
didn’t go back.
BR: with a ride like this you have to do it some justice and show it even
occasionally.
Tahj: That is actually why I brought it today. I plan to start showing
it a lot now.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to shoot the car the first day we say
it because time was against us. Time though was not going to
prevent us from giving this ride it’s well deserved Braggenrites. It
showed up at the Moroso All Out Pink’s event where we got the shoot
on. Just in case you missed it,this Cl has a custom 3 inch
fiberglass wide body kit with all the pieces molded together from the
front bumper to the side skirts, and the rear bumper are all one
piece. The rest of the body mods also include molded in Sparco gas
door, shaved door handles, license plate frenched into the trunk
topped off with Lambo doors. All these body mods are brought
together with the House of Kolor Tangerine orange paint. This ride
rolls on staggered fitted axis 19x8’s in the front and 19x9’s in the
back, with a 3 inch lip wrapped in Falcon’s 215/35/19. Stopping
power is provided by way of SSBC 13.2 big brake kit in the front and
SSBC 11 inch kit in the rear.
The interior is definitely not outdone by the exterior. Every
panel and the dash was completely redone in fiberglass and painted
with the House of Kolors Tangerine orange from the exterior. Also
mounted in the dash is a pyle 7 inch TV and strategically placed
auto meter gauges. The rear seat was removed and replaced with a
fiber glass enclosure housing a 19 inch axis wheel. Along with the
PS2 that is housed in the fiberglass glove box there is also a pyle
15 inch flatscreen TV and a 17 inch screen molded into the
headliner. All the stereo equipment are all installed in custom
fiberglass enclosures from the dash to the trunk.
The engine was not left out even for a trailor queen ride. The f22b1
2.2 l V-tech was fitted with new pistons, valves, lifters, cams, fuel
regulators, 410 cc injectors, A Apexi, V-AFC V-tech controller. Some
boost was also added via a T-25 dual ball bearing turbo with a custom
intercooler and a Apexi blow off valve. A zex 75 shot of Nitrous was
also added in case everything else was not enough.
